MAXIM GORKI, 5
Tbilisi, Georgia
The photographic project MAKSIM GORKI, 5 was created in May 2024 in a courtyard on Maksim Gorki Street, in the very center of Tbilisi. What unfolds here is not a spectacle, but the quiet poetry of everyday life. Generations meet in gestures and glances, in conversations carried across balconies, in rituals that repeat until they become invisible.
The courtyard is more than an architectural space - it is a living stage, shaped by encounters and silences, by the rhythm of shared time. Between portraits and fragments of the surroundings, the photographs trace the delicate lines of belonging: the intimacy of neighborhood, the comfort of the familiar, the beauty of what so often goes unnoticed.
Rather than extraordinary events, the series seeks the quiet bond between human presence and place. MAKSIM GORKI, 5 becomes a meditation on the meaning of “home”, not a dot on the map, but a feeling that arises in the flow of daily life, in the spaces where people gather, linger, and return.
